We were moving some stuff around in the family room and vacuuming tonight. This ottoman is out of its usual place and blocking Biscuit’s path into the kitchen. He first bumped into it (remember, he’s blind), then decided it was a spiffy new resting spot put there for him. He’s been like this, back feet on the floor, front half chillin’ on the ottoman, for nearly an hour now.
Indicentally, this is the same dog who, when he was let out into the backyard to pee late last night, returned to the house with a whole loaf of French bread. I have no idea.
French bread – that is hilarious. Love the picture, he looks serene. But maybe his back hurts and this is his way of taking the pressure off? Both stories show he’s a resourceful little guy!
OMG– I was cracking up. I read this to my husband and described it to him. We are both laughing.
Biscuit and the ottoman…doggy style.
Sweet Biscuit!
I’m more than a little curious about that loaf of french bread, tho’…. but I’m pretty sure he’s just trying to keep up his VBD reputation.
Like I said on Facebook, I love your dog!
Biscuit obviously wants a sandwich. A really big sandwich.
Also, there’s probably a pissed-off Frenchman wandering your neighborhood right now.
So, what did you do with the bread?
This made my day!
The dog is clearly depressed that you took the French bread away, and he’s soon going to transition into anger. Give it back and he’ll promise to leave the ottoman alone. Otherwise, I fear the ottoman is going to pay.
What a great dog!!
I love the pose – made me smile today!! Thanks, Susie! (And Biscuit! — BTW, Tanner says “hi.”)
Should the middle brick say “all”
His cuteness more than makes up for his mischief.
OMG! It’s a good thing I’d just swallowed the last bite of ice cream or I’d have spit it out onto my computer screen! Too freaking funny!
You took away his French bread so now he’s starting to build a Maginot Line. But he got tired and needed a rest before finishing.
He is so funny.
[...] to make you laugh: Go see Susie. Her post on her VBD (which, depending on the day could stand for “very bad dog” or “very [...]
Came here from Park Bench Musings. . .
I can relate. We have a blind and deaf dog, too. Pretty sure she has doggy dementia, too. Make’s life interesting!
So, I have to ask: did you ever find out how Biscuit got the french bread?
Hope you had a good weekend, Susie!
He looks really comfortable. I bet he’s dreaming of the Dagwood sandwich that he could have made on that loaf of french bread.
